Parameters

You use the Parameters data grid to define production parameters for a scenario.

Production parameters can change throughout the schedule. The parameters can be different for the different locations in the scenario. Parameters can change at different times throughout the schedule.

You can define the production parameters in the Parameters data grid, or you can use the spreadsheet view. To access the spreadsheet view, select Spreadsheet > Enable Spreadsheet Views, and then select the Production Parameters spreadsheet. When the Production Parameters spreadsheet is enabled, it replaces the Parameters data grid in the Parameters tab.

Columns in the Parameters Data Grid

Column Description
Active
  • Selected: The parameter is applied to the locations.
  • Cleared: The parameter is not applied to the locations.

Tip: When you clear the Active check box, you make the parameter ineffective without deleting the rule.

Locations

The locations to which the parameter is applied.

The locations can be mining, fill, or stockpile locations.

Parameter

The production parameter that is applied to the locations.

Value

The value for the parameter.

Date/event

The date on which the parameter is applied to the locations.

You can use a calendar date or an event. The date or event plus the Delay determines the actual start date.

You use the Calendar button to select a date from a calendar. You use the Ellipsis button to select an event using the Event Builder.

Delay

The delay, in days, after the Date/event before the parameter is applied to the locations.

The default delay is 0. The delay can be any positive number.

Note: Part days are expressed as decimals, not in HH:MM:SS format.

Usually, delays are used when the Date/event is an event, and the actual date that the event occurs is not known until the schedule is run.

Comments

The comments that you want to record for the parameter.
